Recently aquired a model 700 bdl classic in 375 H&H, it has the classic stock but, I was looking at putting a laminated stock on it for feild use, will a standard LA stock work or do I need a mag action stock for this thing.

    35 bore,

Mike's right for the action length.

There are two different barrel sizes though so to save you some sanding, scraping, etc. you need to measure your barrel at the muzzle and at the fore end tip. Usually the stock makers list what barrel channel they have cut into the stock. Check the dimensions or the reference may be for the Magnum barrel contour or the Sporter barrel contour.

    Best.
