Rimmed 9mm/9mm Federal

Awhile back someone had inquired about rimmed 9mm. Below should help.

Just use 38 Short Colt Brass and run it thru a 9mm Luger reloading Size die.
The brass is in stock. Model OF38SC.
Use any 9mm bullet and normal 9mm reloading data.
Be sure to use a firm crimp.
The Lee Factory Crimp is great.
One of the easiest odd calibers to make.
Thanks,
Michael

I make mine out of .38 special cases, (trimmed down) Your method seems eaiser but, I have loads of .38 spl. cases.[:)]

I asked about that 2-3 years ago and a member steered me to some NOS.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

What pistol used rimmed 9MM or is this for the 9MM in a revolver so you don't have to use half moon clips?

There was a Charter revolver that used 9mm rimmed, think it was called the Pit Bull. But that was years ago.

Since both the 38 special and the 38 short colt are only .379 in diameter at the base and the 9MM luger is .3926, don't you get a little swell in the base of the case?

    So ATF,
How do you like the Pit Bull? Have a chance to get one in stainless.
Can't find much reload data on the 9mm rimmed. Is it worth the extra bullsh_t to own the pitbull.

I just happen to get a kick out of reloading odd calibers. Using 9mm loads from any reloading book.I made up a box using trimmed down .38 spl. cases using 9mm dies and a.38 spl. shell holder.I have only fired about a half of a box with do problems.I have 4 boxes of the original ammo if I want to shoot and reload it but,it's worth some money. So I think I'll just hang on to it for now.[:)]

I sold my Charter Pit Bull last year and have some ammo left if anyone is interested. I have about 40 rounds of factory ammo and 75 rounds of commercial loaded ammo from a custom ammo maker.

When I reloaded for this pistol I used 38 S&W brass and 9x19 +P load data. For plinking I just used 38 S&W ammo. Eventually I got tired of the odd ammo and rechambered the revolver to 38 Super.

Anyway, if anyone needs the ammo e-mail me.
