I posted a want-ad for one of these and have a reply asking if I can use one from a M67. Photo is M55. Help appreciated, Bill.

    Hello Bill,

While I can not say with 100% assurity, it would not surprise me in the least if the Model 55, 67, 69, and several other .22 caliber rifle models of that same era shared the same front sight(s). If in doubt, have him send you a picture of the M67 front sight so that you can compare the two.

Thank you Bert. I suspected the parts might be interchangeable. I'll probably go ahead and make the purchase and count on a die grinder and a set of needle files to make it work, if need be.

Bert's right about many .22s he noted as sharing the same sight. The Winchester 55 .22 caliber rifle made circa 1957-1961 used the Winchester No.75E front sight, with a No. 32B rear sight and a 2C elevator, according to Stroebel.

Bill: I may have a Winchester Factory original. If you want a factory original send me an email. The M-55 was the only one that took the #75E, all the others took the #75D. The only difference is the height. Let me know.[:)][:)]
