Can flares be shipped with flare gun?

Is shipping flares & flare guns the same as ammunition & firearms?
Can I ship the 2 together? Is this something that can be shipped via USPS?
Thanks!

I'm sure you cant ship flares usps. The flares will need to ship ups via a depot, not a ups store or drop off area. I'd ship them together and mark orm-d since a flair gun is not a firearm

You can ship flares, but you will need to jump thru some hoops. Check with UPS website- due to the incendiary nature of a flare, it will probably get lumped into the HAZMAT class. You should be able to ship by GROUND (hell, we ship blasting caps by UPS) but you MAY have to pay a HAZMAT surcharge. Best bet- call the HAZMAT section in UPS, check with them. DO NOT MAIL THEM !

Thanks for the input, I kinda figured USPS was off-limits! Also, they are old & I am not sure how safe the flares are. I am just going to list the flare gun by itself. Now what to do with these old flares...[}:)]
