Link for you to a LOT of Mossberg 22 info: http://home.epix.net/~damguy/models.htm

Sucessor to the 44 US model- if the bore and muzzle crown are in good shape, with the right ammo, will likely be more accurate than most shooters are. I shoot several of the older Mossbergs, and love them. Yes, would take them to a serious benchrest shoot.

Price? Whatever the market brings, and depends on condition. Typically see these anywhere from $150-$250, depending on how badly someone wants to fill THAT hole in a collection.

Two ways to check- auction here and the other site, search CLOSED auctions past 90 days, Mossberg rifle, see if there are any there that have sold. Second, contact Cheryl or Vic Havlin at www.havlinsales.com- they run the Mossberg Collectors Assoc, and may be able to give you some idea. Value will drop sharply if missing the sights. Yes, you CAN find sights, if you hunt- but the price- Jesus wept!

Can't think of anything you missed. I bought a front and a rear for the 46 worth every penny.
