American Legend 2000

I picked up a 1911 style pistol at the gun show this weekend. It is custom Built on an Essex Frame with colt Parts. The only other thing is the slide says American Legend on one side and 2000 on the other. I cannot find any info on this. Anyone know who made this slide? The quality seems good and fit and finish are excellent. I have not fired it yet but the man I got it from says it is very accurate.Just curious.
