Perry Shooter: 1911 question

There is a distributor that has some 50's vintage colt government 45's with a "c" suffix in excellent condition. These have the colt Bakelite grips and a box with matching serial number on the box.

The question is, what would a gun in this condition be worth? I need a good book on the 1911 to help with this stuff!

Thank you or any one that can help.

Mike

Wow I sure would like to run across these IF they have the original finish. I would think $2000.00 + or - if refinished/rebuilt then the quality of this work would dictate Value. How many does he have I would like his contact point after you get the number you want... I wonder where these have been for 50 + years[?]
