QUESTION IAM RESTORING A M1 PARATROOPER CARBINE WWII INLAND DIVISION I NEED TO KNOW IF INLAND MADE THEIR PUSH BUTTON SAFETY'S OR MARKED THEIR SAFETYS THANKS MUCH JOHN

    Their safeties were unmarked. Now if you have the earlier production run M1A1 with serials numbers between 70,000-950,000 than you need the checkered safety with the beveled end, or a plain end unmarked, either one is correct. If you have a later production run M1A1 with serial numbers between 5 million and 6.25 million than you need the plain end unmarked push button safety. If you have a rotary safety than it was refurbished and not correct for your carbine. Only 140,000 M1A1's were built so I assume they were built within those serial number ranges.
