Anybody know anything about the Jennings 380. Local pawn shop has brand new one with extra clip for $100. I've been reading Jennings/Bryco? are cheaper models, and have a niche on lower caliber market.First hand gun purchase. Not looking to spend a whole lot first time out. Is this a reliable gun for that price, or should I steer clear?? Input would be appreciated...thanx.

Can anyone tell me what this handgun may be worth. Its a jennings T380. It has very minor wear and use marks on it. Comes with two magazines. Gun wrenches and fires with easy. Thanks

I would not buy one if it were me. Yes they are cheap but that is about all they are. Check out a Taurus PT22 or the PT25, I think you will like them alot more!!! www.taurususa.com [This message has been edited by shane (edited 10-15-2001).]

All of their guns are a piece of crap, along with Bryco, Raven, etc. Spend the extra money and get a gun you can depend on. Ask yourself what your life is worth, if it is only one hundred bucks, then by all means buy that piece of crap. Get the point. Boomer

Yes they make a 380 but it cost about $400, That is why I suggested the others. You can get them for about $200. Check out that Taurus link in my last post. It will take you to there site and they have a suggested retail price on every gun. Click on "our products" when you get there and you'll see all the guns.

Thanx Shane! Know anything about Mackerov? 9mm's? I've got a friend who's got one, and he really seems to like it. Said for the money, it's a pretty decent gun, if I wanted to go bigger caliber.

Sorry I don't know much about that one, but sit still I'm sure some of my betters(those wiser than me) will be along shortly to tell you about it. I do like a 9mm though!!! I have a Colt 9mm that I like alot.

In these parts ( upstate NY) you can turn up the occasional S&W mod 36 for around $175.00 used but not abused. When asked I usually steer a first time handgun buyer to a short barreled 38 revolver. Lots more ammo selection and easier to learn with.

The Makarovs are good guns, so are the CZ 50 and CZ 70. The FEG PA63 is also a good choice. All of those guns are military surplus guns from Europe. They are in .32acp, .380acp, or 9x18 Makarov caliber. Any of those would be a better choice than a Jennings. They are built strong and reliable. All of those guns can be had for under $200, many of them can be had for around $150 or less.

If you have a friendly dealer that can receive your gun for a modest fee, Southern Ohio Gun has the FEGPA63 in 9mm Mak for about $80 I believe, plus shipping. See www.southernohiogun.com for more info. ----Cecil

When I thought our state was going to pass the concealed carry law, I bought a Makarov in 9x18. The law passed, our RINO governor vetoed it. I really never cared for the Mak, especially the trigger pull and Mickey Mouse "safety", but it went off every time you pulled the trigger and that's important.

The Jennings are very poor quality. A good lower price .380 is the Bersa. I have one and they are nice guns. I also have a Beretta 85 in .380 that's an excellent gun.

I have a Llama 3A.380, it's just miniature 1911A1. Linked not blowback, very comfortable to shoot.Do need a good grip on it though or the slide might bite. Only bad thing about owning one is not having a couple more of them.
