Had to chuckle when I saw this added to the end of a post to another List I monitor regularly..."For the years 1996-2000, an average Texan holding a Concealed Handgun License was almost eight times more law-abiding than an average Texan without a CHL. In other words, carrying a gun doesn't turn a law-abiding person into a criminal. Go figure!"

    Yup, and besides that the statistics show that crimes in several categories decline when concealed carry is legal. Crimes against individuals, such as mugging, rape and assault decrease. The bad guys can't be sure anymore that they are the evilest things in the valley.However, this topic belongs over in General Discussion. [This message has been edited by He Dog (edited 10-17-2001).]
