what .45ACP ammo?

what loads does the forum rec. for an alloy frame .45 like the P12 Paraordinance? The barrel is 3 1/2 in.

    virtually any of the new premium ammo is excellent. consider if your firearm is rated for +p and go from there. i like starfire, golden sabre and remington hp. test any u choose in your weapon for functioning.

    Choose any major brand (Remington, Winchester, Federal, etc.) hollowpoint that feeds reliably in your P12.Avoid +P ammo. It will only give more recoil and prematurly wear the gun.

    One of the top rated std. pressure loads it Federal HydraShok. That's all I carry in .45 and other calibers. It's proven itself well suited for defensive use.

    Hey the winchester silvertip in 200 grain will do just fine. No feeding problems, and that is what I hunt with.

    i would guess that the .45 would only be a short range hunting round.....what would you be able to hunt with it?

    Ammo:For defensive purposes....Fed. Hydra-shok.For just blazing away at things...WolfHunting with a .45? You could hunt pretty much anything. Anything you can get within 10 yds. of that is.Mudge
