I'm just starting on Mausers myself. Gentleman that builds only Mausers told me that 75 flbs torque was what he used on all his guns. Don't have any book source for you but I hope this helps....

When I went to gunsmithing school no torque was mentioned. The barrel threads were cut to a class 4 fit (Definition: Very tight tolerence--almost incompatable) and turned onto the receiver until the shoulder of the barrel "crush fits" against the receiver face; the crush factor being .001 inch. The extra thousandth is figured into the chamber measurement and barrel shank when cut. For a good explanation buy and read Jack Mitchell's book "The Gun Digest Book of Riflesmithing."
