I have a stainless older model S&W model 60 38 spl. I really don't know the exact age because it was left to me. Can anyone give me an idea of the resale value in good condition? Many thanks.

How old is old? If you have an early high polish, of which there are some variations that greatly affect the value, they are quite rare and valuable. For instance, the Jinks book says the first 936 had high polish finish with high polish hammer and trigger. The next 5,000 (this number may include other J-frames, not sure) had high polish finish with case-hardened hammer and trigger. If you have a pinned barrel, diamond grips, etc., those features affect the value. A current-style gun is just a used gun, valued as nunn says.
