I have a question for you people out there. Their are two Enfield rifles that I am interested in.1) No4 MkI2) No4 MkIIAllI know about the difference in these two rifles are the way the trigger assembly is set up. Could someone please explain to me the differences and which I should purchase? I want a GOOD reliable firearm.

Which parts are interchangeable on the No.4 MK1 and the No.1 MK3? Besides the magazines? Are the bolts identical? Any help would be appreciated.

HR, Great rifles, both of them. On the Mk 1, the trigger is pinned,(hinged) on the stock, which sounds like a lousy idea, but it works quite well. On the Mk 2, the pin is in the receiver. The latter SOUNDS better, but with the record number of #1,s and #4 Mk 1 and #5,s that really never had a problem, I would suggest that you purchase the one in better condition or better price. It will give you a lifetime of service.Have fun, be careful.Morty

So, the No4 MkI is the better of the two huh? Well, do any of you know where I could buy one online? I REALLY want one.

I just read your post, then I went to the bottom of the page and clicked the auction link. Typed in Enfield 4 I got about a dozen #4's bidding was anywhere between $100.00 and $235.00 I've owned half a dozen SMLE's over the years also a couple P-14's. You can't buy a more fun to shoot piece.
