I went to a gun show today looking for a nice AK/ MAK-90. After rooting through a bunch of possible candidates, I found none that I liked. With a sigh, I decided to wait until the next gun show (2 weeks and an hour and a half away). Then I ran across an SKS w/ black synthetic furniture, detatchable mag and a folding stock. It was used, but appeared in really nice shape. I really was gonna wait and get an SKS with a fixed mag later. The guy was asking $300. Now I'm regretting passing it up. Was that a good price? Should I go back and get it. Opinions please.-Marcus

Look down this column to "Worth of SKS paratrooper".Pay particular attention to V35's answer. I agree with him totally.I have a Norinco Model D, it was made before the paratrooper. A very fine machine indeed. And I will bet you a breakfast at Hardees or BurgerKing that my Model D will do everything an AK will do, it just might not look quite as "agressive".
