I went to a pretty good sized gunshow here in Melbourne, FL. today, 5 miles from home. Very nice show. Lots of tables, very little "BS" 1 table of JERKY. There must have been 300 folks at any one time. Anyway, CCW was $30.00 + finger printing and photo, total of $49.00. Went to local indoor range, fired 1 shot, good to go. Send the state $117.00 and it's done for 5 years. Yahooo.By the way, I have no reason to carry and I won't. Well maybe. It's hard to carry in shorts and a t-shirt, except a fannypak. Anyone in FL can carry a loaded gun in the glove conpartment of your car, no problem. As I used to say to people who came to Fl from CA, "welcome to the US". BobPS Boy am I about to get!!!!! No thin skin here.

Interesting, my wife and I took the same course at Melbourne today. Thought it was pretty well presented. One of the few times that I have ever been to the Gunshop where the range is located. Never really felt very comfortable there. Prefer the Ammo Attic for customer appreciation. Have had some scopes mounted there and purchased a few things. Wonder if you have had any experience with any local dealers receiving guns for you. If so, who have you found to be reasonable and trustworthy? Thanks,11thcanopy

My wife and I took the Oklahoma version of qualifying for CCW. Had six hours classroom about when and when not to shoot and then fired 50 rounds at 3 yards and 7 yards to qualify (25 ea.). As I told the Sheriff, we are now legal for what we have always done.

Now all you have to do is check your mailbox for it in about 3 months. They are snowed under with apps. in Tally.

11thcanopy: I have never bought any guns at the indoor range, I have shot there many times, seems a little dark.I always find what I want-need at Ammo attic. As you say they are great to deal with.Have you tried the new outdoor range in Sabastian? Shotgun (5 stand), rifle up to 200 yds, pistol 15 & 25 yds. It's a real nice range. People are great. Indian River County Public Shooting Range 561-581-4944. I'ts about 1/4 mile east of 95 on 512.Bob

By the way I have never bought any Guns online but I am sure Ammo Attic would do the transfer. I think $25.00.
