I maybe in the market for a semi-auto 10ga. So, I was wondering which gun is the most reliable, comfortable, and user friendly. Any advice will be helpful because, I know little about shotguns. I'm more of a rifle person. I started hunting coyotes and a good shotgun with some heavy loads will raise my kill average.

To be honest, a 3.5 inch 12 gauge will do about everything a 10ga can. Also, the ammo is easier to find and there are more choices in guns.

That said, the only two ones I can think of would be the Browning Gold, or Remington SP10.

hello,I read your post and while a 10 gauge would certainly raise yor kill rate,I would consider getting a 12 gauge simply due to the fact ammo is cheap and plentiful(at least it is in my area)If you have your heart set on a 10 gauge, look for a Remington SP-10(i may be wrong on the model name, not too sure)I've seen some for $1,000.

I like my browning. I have not shot the remington. The browning does not kick to bad. I have shot cheap 12 gauges that kick worse. Prices of shells should not be relavent unless you plan on killing about 500 dear a year. Good Luck

The price of ammo is one thin, but you cant just walk into every wal mart and buy 10ga ammo. Availability is a huge concern if you live rural like I would. I would have to drive 50 miles to get 10ga ammo.

I shoot a Rem SP-10 and a Browning 3.5". Both do about the same job for me on geese. The most significant difference is the weight. You do not want to lug the 10 gauge too far. Also, the 3.5" gun is easier for me to swing. My two cents worth.

Didn't Ithaca make 10 gauge autoloaders for a while???? You might be able to find one of these. That said,I believe a 3 1/2" 12 gauge would do the job just as well.

I have an Ithaca Mag 10 semi. it is a great shotgun and for me soft shooter - for high flying big birds you cant go wrong with a 10 ga magnum. a good used mag 10 should be about 50 to 70 percent the cost of a remington 10 ga
