scope issue

OK, today I got my new Tauras raging bee and it came with a very expensive burris 3x12x32 pistol scope on it. Just personal preference but I hate the scope. Can't seem to get enough releif on it.The scope runs about 350 new and I want to put a tasco propoint pistol scope on it because I have one on my 41 mag and get great eye relief from it.The scope on the 41 is an old pdp2 and the new one is a pdts132. Does anybody have one of these scopes or can recomend a pistol scope with great eye releif. My vision is 15-20 so my eyes are not the problem. I think that the gun is so heavy that I just shake to much for the burris. Anyway the burris has to go up on fleebay or gb. Oak

Bought a new Burris fullfield II A short time ago and last week brought it to the range to sight in. All went well and was very happy. Tonight i took the gun out of the case to install flip open scope covers and upon looking through the scope i noticed small black specs in the field of view I cleaned the lenses and they will not go away I think that it is inside the glass because when i zoom the scope in they appear to get closer and then disapear beyond about 10x. Whats the problem? is this water? When i shot it last week it was raining very lightly and am wondering if it is water specs. Im going to most likely have to send the scope back to burris for repair. Has anyone else had this problem?

My only pistol scope is a 2X Burris so you can see that I like Burris, and Burris is 10 times the scope a Tasco is. However that may be, get the scope you like and feel comforable with. The confidence you have in it may make the difference between Tasco and better glass when you are in the field. It is often hard to get your money out of handgun scopes, but if you drop me an e-mail when you list it, I will sure take a look.

I can't speak to details particular models, except that Leupold makes some nice pistol scopes.

One thing to consider is that in general the functional eye relief becomes shorter with higher power scopes.

Have you considered a 2x scope?

You should get a little more eye relief, plus a broader field of view, and for most pistol shooting (eg under 75 yards) it should be enough magnification.

I know that tasco is not the best scope out there but I do feel real comforable with it. The eye releif is great and yes most of my shots will be under 100 yard. My least concern is getting my money back out of the tasco. In my opinion it is a tool to be used to hunt with not to resell. That is the way I look at most of my guns and scopes. Not to say I abuse them, Just the opposite, but I dont get real upset when I scratch one of my stocks or put a little ding in them. Oak
