Does anybody know someone, who works on these, or where to get a rebuild kit. I inherited it from an old friend, who has since passed away, and would like to keep and use it as a keep sake. I can't imagine it's worth a whole lot. I have checked the web sites and personnaly talked to a Crosman rep and am kinda out of ideas. Any help is appreciated. If I do send it off can I take the stock off and send the rest of the assembly by UPS, USPS. or the like or will it have to go through an FFl.

Thanks.

1st, I don't think pellet rifles are an FFL required item.
2nd: I would suggest you post your question on an air rifle forum. There's a good one on Rimfirecentral.com where I have seen people post about rebuild kts for these rifles. I think you get them from the Benjamen air rifle company who bought Sheridan out some years ago.
Those Blue Streaks are darn good rifles! What caliber is yours? Mine is .20 cal.

there is a fellow in Illonis who sells seal kits off a web site that rhymes with flea bae. I really like my blue streak for chores around the yard. Deadly but quiet. Rats, gophers, and woodpeckers drop like rocks. I have heard "magnum crow" pellets are better than what Im using, any thoughts about good 20 cal pellets?

These are very nice rifles and are very accurate. I send my stuff to be rebuilt to a guy in NY, Peter Ruut 845-679-8337. Peter is good and reasonably priced.

I have a Silver Streak .17. My Dad bought it for me in the 50's! Now my grandkid's shot it. Accurate as ever.

While an air rifle does not have to go thru a FFL, and it MAY be mailed in the US Mail, mail regs require that you treat it as you would a rifle- that is, declare it to the postal employee, permit them to determine that it is unloaded, etc. go to usps.com, search mailing firearms, and it will take you to the domestic mail manual. their definition of firearm includes "expelling a projectile by air, gas or spring with enough force to be considered a weapon." and a blue streak is definitely that powerful. And yes, guys, I know that the ATF does not consider it a firearm- but the PO DOES!

Practical tactic is to pack it properly and send it Priority Mail. The USPS people operate on the 'don't ask, don't tell' basis for Priority mail. Alternatively, ask the repairer how s/he recommends sending it.
