Anyone make a shorter youth stock for the Ruger 10/22?

This is the one a lot of people frown at but Tapco makes a very nice 10/22 stock for about $70 that uses adjustable AR style stocks. They work. I have one and love it, thinking about buying another one.

But so many people buy these and swap out the stocks that like-new standard stocks are available dirt cheap (eg on Flea-bay shipped for under $30).
So it would be cheaper to just get a new stock and cut it down a bit. Shouldn't be too tough if you have the tools or any skills at woodworking.
You can use the old plastic buttplate as a guide for shape, a bandsaw to make the cut, sand the new surface, then refinish with stain and tru-oil. If you are careful, you can even inlet the top and reinstall the old plastic buttplate, though you may need to dremel it down a bit around the edges to fit.
Length of pull on the compact is 12.5"
Ruger makes a factory "Compact" model of the 10-22. It has a shorter barrel and stock than the standard 10-22.

I just bought one of these "compact" models. I'll sell you the stock for a fair price. PM sent with phone #.
