Can someone date a 1906 Winchester?

Can anyone give me the date of manufacture for a 1906 Winchester, please? Serial number is 323881B. It's been in my family since new, just trying to find out when that was.

Those dates are notoriously inaccurate. Bert should have a more accurate date.

Old-Colts

Ned Schwing's book list the DOM of receiver 315,300 as 4/2/1912 and receiver 323,900 as 5/1/1912; so it looks like your receiver was probably manufactured in April 1912.
