Anyone had problems with their Sig Equinox or Kim

Hello everyone, I am looking for a little advice here from you experienced guys. I have decided that I want to upgrade my .45 ACP pistol and I have had my heart set on two:

First of which is the Sig Sauer P220 Equinox (Link Below):
http://sigsauer.com/Products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=6&productid=146

Second being the Kimber Eclipse Pro IIT (Link Below):

However I recently had my heart broken by a dealer telling me that both of these guns scratch easily and will look like crap in no time, especially if I am planining on holstering them.:(

I was VERY disappointed and I am hoping for someone to tell me that they have had theirs for years and it still looks like brand new.

I am planning on shooting this weapon a lot, but I am very meticulous when it comes to care and cleaning and I want the gun that I buy to look just as good 5-10 years from now as the day I bought it.

Any replies would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

-Cameron

Unless you keep your gun in a safe for the next 5-10 years no gun will look like new a decade from now. I happen to like a little wear and tear on my handguns, it shows I actually use them. Stainless may be your best bet for minimizing signs of wear.

+1 on reply from 317wc brushed stainless you can burnish the areas that get worn smooth. IMHO cars and guns can be maintained to keep their good looks but not look NIB. but Safe queens and Trailer queens take the fun out of using them
