When did Ruger change from their original black eagle grips to the silver ones? Did all the 3-screw blackhawks have black eagle medallions? Thanks for any information.

Ruger changed from Black Eagles to Silver Eagles in 1972, but they did not change the blue screw and escutcheons until around the time the first stainless models were introduced. So, if you have a late production 1971,'72,'73 3 screw with Silver Eagles the grips should also have the blue screw and escutcheons.
