Ward & Son's Coach Gun pt 3.... muzzleloader?

This time it's a stupid question most likely, but the more I research the more confused I get.
Apparently, around the time I think I dated this (1871) Ward & Son's were actually making shotguns about this length, but they were muzzleloaders. Up until about ten minutes ago I didn't know that was a thing even, so how can I tell? I've seen muzzies online that have a break action as well... not really sure what to look for to tell. Thanks again

So that's a box-lock not a muzzie, right? Like I said, I didn't even know muzzleloading shotguns were a thing
The barrels have been cut. No manufacturer left the space between the barrels and rib open like that.
