RUGER Mini 14 help

Is the mini 30 and the mini14 the same and whats the fair market value 4 a mini 14 lower trigger group? Also reply 1st to LIVEWLREZ @aol.com

    The Mini 14 is is a 5.56 rifle the Mini 30 is a 7.62 russian rifle. The trigger groups are the same I believe.

    I don't recall ever seeing a Mini-14 trigger group for sale by itself. I don't think Ruger will sell one because it likely means the buyer has been monkeying with the trigger to make it fire faster. The guns are about $400-$450, depending upon configuration. Don't expect outstanding accuracy.

    ref44 is right, I have a stainless ranch rifle and accuracy is not to be expected. A grapefruit at 100 yds is good shooting.Many other rifles out there shoot better as semi-auots. As for your question, mini-14 is 223 and mini 30 is 7.62x39mm both look identicle.

    Go to mini14world.com and check out some of the articles and links. There is a match trigger group available for $75.00 which doesn't sound like a revamped factory trigger, from the sounds of it. It's a good site for Mini 14 or Mini 30 owners, and is a good one to bookmark.

    boeboe any ideas on how I can get my mini shooting better? any tune ups or handloads? I am going to try to get some heavier bullets from Berger or elsewhere and try some of those. The 45gr bullets are all over the place, the 55gr do o.k. but fot the money, I would expect better of Ruger.

    JustC,the ruger factory spec. is 4MOA.I had a older gun that wouldn`t shoot,sent it back to ruger and it came back worse.Bought a new SS Ranch and it does lot better,5 in 1.75 at 50 yds and it groups all types ammo in the same group.It may shoot even better with scope and handloads.Most all tune ups involve heavy match barrel that I don`t like because of heavy weight.DD
