Handloading 41 Long Colt

Would like reloading information for the 41 long colt. Loads, bullets, etc. Any tips ?Source for dies ?

    According to 'The Handloader's Manual of Cartridge Conversions' by John J. Donnelly on page 536:Bullet diameter .386 Wt, 200 gr. lead. Powder wt. 4.5 gr. Unique for 820 fps Velocity.Good luck and have fun.VetWhenguns are outlawed, we all become outlaws

    Im also trying to get started with this caliber and need to know how to crimp the heel type bullets.

    When I used to reload .44 americans, I used a pair of electricians crimpers that I had drilled a proper sized hole. Worked fairly well. But, I think you can get a Lee factory crimp die designed specificaly for the .41 Colt. I read this in a Mike Venturino article I believe. You might want to give Lee a call.WOODS

    Hello, Redding makes the reloading die sets and Rapine makes an inside-lubed bullet mould of the correct size. See www.buffaloarms.com I have an original, old RCBS die set that I would sell, but it would be more expensive than the new Redding dies. Emery
