I have been considering purchasing a p7m8 but have read that the chamber is fluted and the gases escape around the sides of the casings would this stress the brass or perhaps weaken the brass to much for reloading maybe thinimg the case walls making it to weak to withstand high pressure reloads? any help appreciatedTIA.

there is no risk of weakening your cases due to the chamber fluting. They will retain the distinctive marks from the flutes even after tumbling, but they are as good as any cases. Don't use lead bullets for your reloading, since there is a gas port which will become lead fouled. I loaded 125gr jrn bullets over 4.2gr Bullseye in my P7, and it worked well with good accuracy. Be sure to clean the gas system thoroughly after every session.

The fluted chamber actually helps reduce the stress on the brass as it vents gasses to equlize the pressure on both sides of the case. It also aids in extraction since there is less contact of the case to chamber walls.
