Hi All, I am thinking of getting a Republic Patriot .45 strictly for defense and concealed to carry. Anyone with any personal expeariance with this gun, please pro and con.thanksrac43

    I too, was interested in the Patriot 45. Found a new one with stainless slide and bought it. Fired 150 rounds straight out of the box, with only the rear sight set screw backing out slightly about midway through the testing. Zero malfunctions, and very accurate, smooth shooting pistol. Tried hollow points and ball ammo with no problems or change of impact area at 15 yards. Hard to find them under $250, but well worth whatever you pay, in my opinion.
