I own two and I know about lots of others who swear by them. 150 is waaay to much though. SOG is selling them for 90 last I checked. Get the two toned. Yeah I know it looks a little toyish, but the are in like new condition. I can't tell if mine were ever fired before I got them. Very reliable, very concealable and packs a nice little punch but you'll adjust to it. Out of all of the other weapons I have this will be my carry gun.

Based on the recommendations of AntiqueDr and (hopefully Dr. Pig in the not too distant future) SaxonPig, both of whom I set considerably store by their opinions, I just purchased a PA 63. It fits my inside the waistband custom holster by Andrews Leather (Alachua, Florida) just like the Walther PP it was made for. I know the Makarov cartridge is a harder hitter than the 380 in the PP. I can't really tell you about its accuracy potential yet as I have not had it out the the bench at the range. However, on my own little 10 yard range out my back door, I know it will run like a Singer sewing machine with everything I have fed it so far. I have two Russian made cartridges - one hard ball and the other hollow point, Sellier & Bellot hard ball, and CCI hollow point. I ran a magazine of each one without any problems.

The gun is chambered for 9mm Makarov (9x18). Different cartridge, but readily available. More punch than the .380.SOG is Southern Ohio Gun Distributors, a distributor who sells to Federally licensed dealers and collectors (the PA-63 is not C&R eligible - it requires a Class 01 FFL to purchase it from a distributor).

so 9mm Mak will be around for a long time so i need not worry about running out of ammo or spending rediculous amounts of money for a box?

9mm Mak has already been around for a long time, just not so long here in the US. There is a buttload of imported stuff out there, plus now domestic manufacture ammunition.
