As you all know I as my wife value your input on sound investments, This being said after purchasing 4 guns in the past week I need alittle help on the 300mag purchase in the mornin. Smoking Jacket Members im counting on your support to the Classic Post

    My dear Lord Gunnut, although it not a Holland & Holland, and I have no first hand knowledge on the 700 Classic....I would not hesitate to acquire such a fine rifle,....after all, the worst thing that can happen if you find dissatisfaction later, would be to sell or trade for another. Hope you decide to pass it around to other members of the Smoking Jacket Club for evaluation.....

    The 700 Classic stock is one of the most beautiful factory stocks made.

    gunnut,Remington also made a "classic style" in 300 win with a birch stock and a dull matte blue finish; similar to the express shotgun. If it is the "cheaper classic" the deal is not as good. If it is the walnut wood stock with the high gloss bluing it is a steal. Good luck,
