Remington Model 673 and McMillan Stock

Has anyone taken the factory stock off of the 673 and put a McMillan composite stock on it? If so can you use one of the Model 700s or do you have to use a Model 7 stock? I understand that the 673 is based on the Model 7 action. Thanks.

Yes, you need a stock that's inletted for the Model Seven actions. These actions are shorter than the M700 actions so you need the Model Seven inlet since the action screws won't line up otherwise.
