I found one of these at a local pawn shop for $199 and i was wondering why so cheap? Do these guns have a bad rep? My dad wants to get a small and very cheap home defence gun and we were looking around to find a real bargin. The pistol is a standard arms 9mm and looks exactaly like the one i found on the acution side. But before he buys it i just want to make sure that were not going to buy a P.O.S.! Any info would be great!

Here is something simalar.http://v4.beta.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=123605422

Would you buy it for $199?

I only know them by reputation. They were supposedly a short-lived, poor quality knock-off of the KELTEC P 11. IMHO it would be best for your Dad to get the real McCoy. KELTEC has been making the original P 11's since the mid 90's. It might cost you more, but it would be a better more reliable pistol.

    Personally, no I wouldn't.

As mentioned already, this is a clone of the Kel Tec p11. (Skyy is another company that has cloned this gun).

You may have to pay a few dollars more for a used Kel-Tec vs this one, but it won't cost that much more, and if you ever have a problem with the gun at least Kel-Tec is still around, and can provide you with customer service.
