How do you do a chamber cast?

I have read you can use Automotive Bondo or a hard wax to make a chamber cast. Wax may be difficult to measure accurately. Depends on what you are attempting to do. I have no experience doing it.
And Bondo (and other thermoplastics) shrink.
That's the stuff to use, though I haven't done it myself....tap.

1# $46 1/2# $25
Pulled right back out & was identical to the chamber dimensions given for the 7.62X54R I got from my Mosin book. Also showed a slight "seam" about an inch back from the barrel. Must have been used HARD by the Rooskies!
