S & W Mod 66-4 F-comp.

Recently acquired a 66-4 F-Comp three inch barrel. It came with original plastic case, all paperwork, price tags, etc. - except for original wooden grips. Has some Uncle Mike's on it, I think. Nice, but I want to put the original wood grips that it was furnished with on it. Seems like they have a finger-grooved wooden grip Hogue's? Anyone who has one who can clue me in would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what came on it, but I got some hogues and put them on mine.

Might I suggest that you take a look at a set of Eagle secret service boot grips, checkered. Those are fine wooden stocks as well.

The "original" grips for that gun may be the grips that are on it. Smith has been using Hogue grips since 1994, the same year your 66-4 was introduced. In 1994 they also started using Uncle Mike's grips on the 2 1/2" barrel version.
