Mossberg 500 stocks

Folks,

Just a quick question here. I have a friend who has a Mossberg 500 Bantum from about 15-20 years back. The stock is cracked, and needs to be replaced. Does the 20 gauge, take the same stocks as the 12 gauge? Do I need a 20 gauge specific stock?

    Far as I know yes, they are in fact different. I think you can still use a 12ga stock on a 20 but it sticks over the reciever and fit probably isn't perfect.

    Good luck finding a 20ga synthetic stock. Been on the look out for some time now myself.
