I know that S&W produced the M640 in the 9MM caliber for a fews years. I'm aware of the moon clips and all, but can't seem to find much feedback regaring this model. Does anyone have or had one of these revolvers that could give some imput? Thanks

Hi poorboy5150, The Model number of the 9MM Smith is 940.
The M940 has been discontinued for some time. The 940 carries and funcions just like any steel(stainless) S&W Centennial type revolver. The full moon clips, still avail. from S&W, allow quick all at once loading/unloading. IF you dont use the clips...you usually have to dowel the cases out of the cylinder.

Khegglie, thanks for correcting the model number. Can you or anybody else comment on how the 9MM preforms out of a snubnose revolver. Thanks
