who made this scope mount? rear base is mounted on tang with a vertical split ring. front ring/base goes into the rifles rear sight dovetail. Neat set-up. currently wearing a weaver 2.5x scope. no holes are need for this setup.

24hourcampfire.com also has a Savage collectors thread which seems to have more varied info than anywhere else I have found. Be advised there are some there who are very outspoken and do not suffer fools gladly.

I have found that doing a google search with what you looking for as a FORUM...ie Savage 99 forum...Winchester 94 forum ect....generally work pretty good.
