I am trying to find the plastic insert whatchamacallit thing that makes the inside of the can flat. I remember the fuse cans from back in my arty days had these and need a few. Any info on where I can find some would be super. Thanks

I don't recall those inserts and I have not seen any at gun shows. I think they are discarded when those can are originally opened and the contents shot up.

What I have done is just cut some cardboard strips to fill in the indented spaces in the cans.

Ya that's I have been doing also. Would like the plastic things though so much easier.

As a last ditch effort, ya might think about getting some epoxy resin and form your own in the box.

I have seen the plastic "O" shaped base liners. Do you have a near by Army Reserve on National Guard unit to ask for at least a sample one as pattern. They will not part with the can, but I bet the liner isn't regulated. We just threw them away.

Truck inter tube glued to a fitted piece of Plexiglas would be my DIY solution.
