Makarov trigger

I have a Bulgarian Makarov I got recently. I noticed when pulling the trigger slowly in double action mode, when the trigger gets all the way to the rear and the hammer does not fall. When you relieve the slightest amount of tension on it it drops. It fires in single action mode fine. This is a gun I use for recreational shooting and would never use for CCW. So my question is: Other than the obvious reliability issue, is this a problem? Could it lead to other problems?

Sounds like your mainspring (trigger spring) is a bit flat. Take it off, bend it a little, and put it back on.
