Haven't tried one yet, but I have a old 1908 action that'll probably get turned into a backpacking gun with the addition of that stock and a 4x scope. Most of the scope mounts that go on the stocks or receiver covers of a rifle are not terribly accurate do to the ability of the scope to move (very little albeit) in relation to the rifle/bore. If you want utility, go for it. If you want accuracy, get a good target stock and a D&T type scope mount.

    Love them Beavers

I installed a Scout stock on my Yugo M48 a few months back and counln't be more happy. I get 1 inch groups at 100 yds with remingtion ammo. I was shocked at that! Anyway just use see though mounts if you don't want to change the bold handle.

Fear the few, they are usualy right.
