Sig P220 - 38 Super

I'm looking at a Sig P220 in 38 Super. I thought that 38 Super was more of a target caliber. Does anyone make a 38 Super defense round (I don't reload)? Where can I find extra magazines? Thanks.

Just about everyone makes the 38 super round. Corbon is a good self defence round. A little pricy. Check cheaperthandirt.com for practice ammo and self defence ammo. Not sure on where to get extra magazines.

Buy the mags from SIG. A crappy aftermarket magazine is an insult to the pistol. The caliber is still very much in production. Try natchezss.com and midsouth shooters supply for ammo prices. It is a hotter round than you might expect. The p220 is a great pistol, the first time I shot one, it sold me on Sig's all together.

Thanks for the info, I'll check my gun shop for ammo. I like the P220 - have one in .45, great firearm.

grab1Check on the availability of extra magazines. I don't believe that even "Sig" has mag.s for the P220 in .38 Super - I've been looking for over a year now.
