scope on enfield

anyone ever mounted a scope to a no5 mk 1 "jungle carbine" enfield if so how did it go?

    Its the same as a #4. I have one with the Square B mount it holds the scope on other than that I wont comment.
    I did find a mount on a Enfield sight (cant remember which one right now) made by Cad tec nic It was made like the sniper scope mounts used during WW2 and later. It comes on and off with out losing zero and you dont have to remove the original sight to install it.

    From what I've heard, alot of the original Jungle Carbines had problems keeping zero's, had something to do with the way it was bedded in the stock or something. You may do some research into this if you have that problem.

    Also, don't use cheap mounts, if you don't have to drill and tap for the mount then it probably won't stay in place worth a crap, there for neither will your crosshairs.
