. help judgecolt!! or anyone else..
I know you are a proponent of this design,so I am coming to you for help.
i have a mini firestorm that has jambed witrh a live shell in the chamber and I can't eject the shell or open the slide...it's pretty much locked up.
I know that I can't ship it this way back to argentina, and my calls have been put on endless hold...
any idea what to do?

I do not understand just what has happened. Are you sure it is a jammed cartridge and not a mechanical failure of some kind? How come the shell stuck in the chamber? Is it an oversized reload? Is it the wrong caliber? If the live shell is fully chambered, why not just fire it? If the shell is not fully chambered, why not just throw the disassembly lever and pull the slide and barrel off the gun, then remove the barrel and drive out the cartridge with a dowel? (Understand the risk of working with a live round.) If you cannot get the slide and barrel off for some reason, I suspect a firing mechanism failure, and I would start disassembling from the bottom up until I could get the slide off. I would still probably try to drive out the cartridge, but, if you do, be very careful and understand the risks.
Again, I say I do not understand exactly what has happened. I am wondering if you have the 9x19 or .40. The .40 cartridge seems to be implicated in lots of problems, including lots of Glock blowups.
I do not understand why you would be calling Argentina. The importer, SGS, would seem the logical one to contact first. Your warranty book should have full contact information.
Let us know how this turns out.
After wrestling with the gun a bit, I got the shell out myself. I believe it was an irregular casing.I guess when you pay $50.00 for 500 rounds you sometimes get what you pay for. Looks like this one has a taste for higher class ammo.
Different guns have different chamber specifications and tolerances. When I got my S&W M645 as a dealer sample in 1985 or 1986, I found that rounds that would chamber in my then also new Colt Govenment Model Stainless would not chamber in the M645. The M645 has a tighter chamber. I bought a custom sizing die that sized cases slightly smaller than the standarad die I had, and that solved the problem. Apparently, you will need to do the same for the Mini.
If you look around, you can buy factory new ammunition in 9x19 for about the same price as your poor reloads. That might be a wise thing to do, or reload them youself so you can control the quality.
