Trigger question for you gunsmiths??

I would like to know if an aftermarket trigger for a Remington mdl. 700 would fit a Remington mdl. 7. I cannot find any listed for the mdl. 7 They appear to look the same. Thanks.

    Timney, Jewell, Rifle Basix, and Shilen make triggers for the Remington 700.

    The Sinclair catalog has the following comments :

    Rifle Basix : Available in 3 models for Remington Model 700's, 40X's, and Model 7's.

    Shilen : Both triggers will fit Remington 700 and 40X actions... They will not work on Model 7's, 788's or 600's.

    Contact the makers to be sure which triggers fit before you buy.
