Seen on another post some negative things about these.
Whats the proublums with these in paticular? And has any body had any experience with them? I have looked at a few of them and the dealers said that thay were good shooters but not collectable. Also I have seen them priced from $450.00 to $650.00. Whats the diferance there? Are some dealers just real proud of them?

I have seen several, and have inspected one closely. The receiver is newly made, but specs are NOT USGI; parts appear mostly used USGI and vary in condition. The one I inspected could only be field stripped using a mallet and punches, because the receiver was so far out of spec (USGI M1's can be field stripped with your fingers). The bolt did not lock up properly.

While some may function properly, these rifles should not be fired without inspection by a gunsmith. I have seen them offered for as little as $380; maybe dealers asking more believe that a higher price will make a customer think that his are better.

I see them going from $399-499 depending on where you look, I saw a used one for $350, but someone bought it before I had a chance.

I honestly wouldn't pay anymore than $500 for one, you may look in shotgun news to. I think I saw them really cheap in there.

Apparently CAI has used several manufacturers to make their receivers over the last couple of years. Supposedly the earlier ones had problems that the later ones will not have. This according to CAI.
