Astra - CONSTABLE : I'M NOT SURE WHICH PART I NEED [NEW OR OLD] FOR Thumb Safety, REPAIRS : GUNPARTS IS OUT OF BOTH THE New Style*
Thumb Safety,& Old Style* : WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES , THAT WILL TELL ME WHICH STYLE I HAVE ? WERE ELSE SHOULD I CHECK FOR THIS PART ?

    The difference in the (2) versions of the Constable "I Believe" is the location of the safety.

    The early version which dates to the 60's, is also known as the Model 5000, the manual safety is located on the slide.

    The later version which dates from the 80's, is also known as the "A-60", the safety is on the frame.

    I'm wrong on the above, the A-60 has a ambidextrous safety on the slide NOT on the frame.

    THIS COMBINATION SAFETY/DECOCK IS LOCATED ON THE SLIDE . IS THE DECOCK
    FEATURE ON BOTH ?
