Missing a screw on a BP rifle.

I just got this Hawkens Percussion cap rifle 50cal. and I'm missing a screw next to the hammer on the top of the rifle. It looks like it should hold the stock on. What size of scerw is it or where can I get one.

    If you know the manufacturer, that is the best place to start. If not, contact other manufacturers. I would recommend Connecticut Valley Arms, Thompson Center, Cabela's, or Lyman. Good luck finding that. If you find it, let me know, as I'm looking for a similar screw.

    Are You talking about the TANG screw...The one that holds the Back of the Barrel to the Wood?

    TC has a lifetime warranty on all firearms, even if you bought it used. Notify TC and they just might send you a new one for free.

    What make is the Hawkins? If it is a CVA, I might have the screw. Let me know if it is a CVA.
