Fair price for a 629

A friend has a S&W 629 6" in excellent condition, stainless steel, with the original wood grips, a set of Pachmayrs, 2 speedloaders, 100 rounds of ammo, and a custom wood presentation box that he wants to sell. He says he has only shot 2 boxes of ammo through it. He asked me what a fair price would be -- he said he was thinking around $400 for the whole lot.

From looking at auction prices, that seems low to me. What do you think would be a fair price for this?

$450 to $500 is still fair and low enough that he should realize a reasonably quick sale.

if offered for $400 it should be a very quick sale.[:D]

Thanks for the info, I gave him $450 for it. He threw in a S&W 150th Anniversary knife after the fact.
