remington 1100 magnum

I had a Remington 1100 magnum 20 gauge when I was a kid.It was stolen a few years ago.I'm looking for a used one to replace it that is Identical.Heres my question did they have one with an additional engraving of a gun dog on the side?I seem to think mine did.it would have been purchased new about 20 years ago.Thanks for any help Shannon

I recently inherited a 12 gauge Remington 1100 Magnum. It has a 30" full choke barrel marked 3". I really like the gun but have always used 2 3/4" shells. Some shotguns shoot different size shells interchangeably. Can I use 2 3/4" shells with this gun? If I obtain another barrel that shoots 2 3/4" shells, will the receiver cycle them?

My neighbor has two guns for sale. One is the 1100 Magnum VR with screw in chokes. The other is the 1187 3' VR with chokes.
First question- Will the 1100 shoot steel?
Second question- He wants $400.00 each, which would you choose.
Both are about 90% guns.

My question is, can you shoot 2 3/4 in it and it still function properly?

Shannon ...I bought myself a "going in the Army present" back in 73, it was a Rem 1100 20ga Mag. Mine in the standard model with ribbed barrel. It just has a "floral pattern" on the receiver (both sides). Check this out

The dog engraving is/was a Remington model 58 I have a 1100 20 ga mag listed on the auction. Good luck.
