After looking at another thread and seing that cabelas has some insane prices on flintlock's now a days I was wondering who else carries flintlocks. "5 years ago I can remember cva making flintlocks for around 150 bucks each now places want 500+ for them? what gives"

At least give me some options if they are all that price I can deal with it, however I want choices for what I am to buy.

I have been out of the loop to long what manufacturers currently make flintlocks? and or what catalog's/online retailers sell them?

Thanks guys, maybe I should sell my double barrel 36cal or was it 32.. derranger I bought for 30 bucks 5 years ago...... they have the same one on cabelas for over 150...... what gives.

Try your local Wal-Mart if you have one. They don't keep them in the gun racks, so you may overlook them, actually, UNDERLOOK them!! They are kept way up usually above the muzzleloading stuff. The Wal-Mart here in my town, has 5 models in stock only in-lines BUT they can order out of a catalog if you wanna wait. Our store carries Thompson Center mostly, but they start at under 100.00 and go up to 280+ for a kit in stainless steel. Hope this helps you out. Most of the mail order houses have converted to retail stores in urban areas. Good luck! [8D]

And, there is the obvious answer, look in the auctions. Go to Firearms(Collectible), and the black powder catagory will come up.

I bought my Pieta BP revolver from:

    http://www.fcsutler.com/

And a Kirst Cartridge Konverter replacement cylinder from
    http://www.riverjunction.com/

Ooops sorry misread your post, above sites are mostly percussion.

I was searching around last night on the web and there are not many places online to buy flintlocks, everyone sells in-line. I found one website that sold a few flintlock rifles by Traditions. The site was www.tjgeneralstore.com. Try www.cheaperthandirt.com as well, I know they carry black powder pistols and such.

They have excellent prices. Dont know if they sell CVA, but I know they sell the cheaper Lymans.
